Malcata Eco Experience

Code of Conduct and Good Practice

A code of conduct to guide you in the territory

“Our” manifesto assembles several documents (national and international that we consider relevant) of good practices that the tourist or visitor - and not only - should have in the territories. By following this code of conduct, you are already on the wave of slow tourism. Therefore, we invite you to adopt these measures in the course of experiences, whether promoted by Malcata Eco Experience, by other tourism agents, or when visiting on your own initiative.

The place you visit is your home and that of so many other beings that inhabit and pass through the territory. In this way, we leave you the best recommendations.*

Code of Conduct and Good Practices for the responsible tourist

Find out about the place you are going to visit. By the way, you can contact us (without any commitment) and we will give you the best information about the region.

Live, enjoy and appreciate the territory you visit!

Respect the locals, their way of life and their traditions.

Respect the artistic heritage. It is protected by law.

- In nature, follow the marked trails and respect the signs.

Não faças mariolas. Embora estejam na moda por questões estéticas, as mariolas têm um simbolismo próprio e causam impacto na paisagem.

Respects private property. Close the gates if they appear on the route.

- Silence is a rare good, therefore, avoid noises and attitudes that disturb the peace of the place and listen to the symphony of nature.

Watch at distance from wild animals you encounter and do not feed them.

Do not pick up plants, geological samples or other elements that are part of the natural space.

Take pictures to remember what you liked most. Be more "to be" than "to have"

Do not make a fire, except in places authorized for this purpose.

Do not leave waste in the spaces you visit and always carry one or more bags. In the end, deposit them in the appropriate places.

Respects the indications and alerts of national and local authorities, whether for the risk of fires or the risk of extreme weather phenomena.

- If you find injured wild animals contact ICNF or SEPNA (see contact details below).

- Whenever you see an irregularity, contact the authorities (see contact details below).

- Do you want to visit the region and bring friends or family with you? Share a cab for small and medium-sized trips (see contacts below).

– In Guide We Trust! And...respect the guide! We are good hosts and we want to take you through our experiences. In addition, we are experts in the region!
