Wellbeing experiences in Nature

Terms and Conditions: So we can walk together with peace of mind

Welcome, nature lover!

So that you can enjoy the experiences around Serra da Malcata with full presence and safety, I’d like to share with you the practical and legal details of the Malcata Eco Experience commitment.

1. Who guides you?

The Malcata Eco Experience project is run by me, Tiago Alves. I am registered with Turismo de Portugal (RNAAT 1083/2023) and my brand is protected by the INPI (no. 667838). As a guide, I am certified by the Forest Therapy Hub (Forest Bathing, Wild Blue and Forest Therapy).

Certificado de guia de banhos de Floresta pela Forest Therapy Hub
Certificado em Wild Blue pela Forest Therapy Hub
Certificado como Profissional de Terapia de Floresta pela Forest Therapy Hub

2. Safety and Wellbeing

The experiences take place in the heart of Nature, which brings the risks and the unexpected turns of a wild environment. To keep you safe:

  1. In Guide We Trust! I ask you to follow my guidance while we are immersed in Nature (you are also welcome to follow codes of conduct such as the one published by ICNF);
  2. Although the activities are of easy to moderate difficulty, you should carry out your own health “self-assessment”. If in doubt, talk to me before booking;
  3. To preserve harmony, groups are small — family or people from your close circle — up to 12 participants (Forest Bathing);
  4. The experiences are also designed for corporate retreats (Team Healing), up to 15 persons.

3. What is included

When you book an experience, you are covered by the mandatory Civil Liability and Personal Accident insurance. The price you pay already includes:

  1. All applicable taxes;
  2. My dedicated guidance throughout the experience;
  3. A first-aid kit and audiovisual records (photos/videos) so you can keep the memory. The experiences are carried out in full compliance with the Portuguese Standard (NP) 4520:2015 on Outdoor Tourism and Nature Tourism Activities.

4. Bookings and Deadlines

I would prefer to receive your booking request at least 3 days before your intended date. You can do so here on the site, under “contact“, or by email (malcataecoexperience@outlook.com). The booking is only confirmed once I reply by email confirming availability.

5. Changes and cancellation

Nature is sovereign. If weather conditions or other events of force majeure (disasters or safety warnings) prevent the activity, I reserve the right to cancel the experience. Should I have to cancel for these reasons, no charge will be made or, if the experience has already been paid for, the amount will be refunded in full.

6. Your voice matters

This project grows with your opinion. If you have any constructive criticism, please feel free to share it with me. If something does not go as expected, you may use the online Complaints Book and turn to the National Centre for Consumer Conflict Information and Arbitration (CNIACC) for dispute resolution. And afterwards, tell your story on Tripadvisor or Google. Help this project grow and make Serra da Malcata a wellbeing destination par excellence!
